Internationalisation is one of the strategic areas in which UGC accords high priority. UGC cautioned the higher education sector NOT to associate internationalization principally with the recruitment of non-local students and developing a relationship with Mainland China.

According to UGC, Universities are committed with the responsibility of developing future leaders who are internationally-minded by the internationalisation of the curriculum and the faculty, the integration of local and non-local students and other means.

To achieve significant impact across major sectors in the University, the UGC funding for teaching and learning initiatives in 2016-19 Triennium includes internationalisation as one of the priority themes.

In anticipation of the growing importance of internationalisation in learning and teaching, EDC, in collaboration with the School of Nursing, is hosting this workshop on internationalisation at home. Those colleagues who are interested in internationalising students' learning experience without their going abroad are welcome to attend.
