With the application of criterion-referenced assessment, teachers have to determine the mark range of the paper corresponding to each grade. This practice needs to adhere to the absolute standard of assessment. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to  the standard-setting method, and the usefulness of grade descriptors of rubrics in guiding the standard setting procedures.
