Engaging students in small and large classes by asking a question with “Clickers” is a popular and effective pedagogical supplement to lecturing at the PolyU.

Besides walking you through the basic features of some popular education technological tools available, the workshop will further elaborate the keys of incorporating them to enhance various genres of active learning strategies: Peer-assisted learning, peer tutoring, peer evaluation, cooperative learning/team learning, problem-solving/problem-based learning.

You will find the workshop informative and stimulating, covering a wide

range of pedagogical scenarios, from pre-class activities, through in-class discussions, to after class assignments, or from asynchronous platforms, to synchronous face-to-face environments.

*BYOD - Please bring along your own mobile device (e.g. smartphones,

tablets, laptops, etc.) to experience how these systems work.

This activity is jointly organised by EDC and the CoP on Technology-enhanced Teaching and Learning.
