BOLT Bitesize

Join us for BOLT Bitesize, where you will participate in three synchronous online workshops over a period of three weeks. During this period, you will also complete Units 1-4 of BOLT: Designing Blended Learning, a Small Private Online Course (SPOC). This short course will introduce you to tools, techniques and relevant models to use in your blended or online teaching practice. You will also develop and submit a Learning Innovation Plan (LIP) to enable you to integrate these approaches into your learning and teaching context.

Your commitment will be one one-hour synchronous workshop and 90 minutes’ asynchronous online activities per week.

Workshop 1: Learn about the Seven Principles of Good Practice, the Flipped Classroom approach and the Five-Stage model for online development.

Workshop 2: Use the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework to explore online interaction and blended synchronous online teaching.

Workshop 3: Finish by looking at collaborating and learning, minimum standards for online teaching at PolyU and evaluation techniques.
