This exciting Internationalisation at Home session recounts a collaboration between PolyU’s School of Design (SD) and the University of Arts London (UAL). 60 students each from SD and UAL participated in this 10-week long intervention utilising the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), a model which has proven effective in improving learners’ English language proficiency.

Utilising TDG funding, the presenters will relate their methodology (e.g. surveys, interviews , written responses), some of the hardships encountered in this purely online environment of cross-cultural sharing, and the very encouraging initial findings about this peer collaboration.
