Lab visit

This lab visit will offer an immersive journey into the future of education and training approaches using cutting-edge Virtual Reality technologies and the Metaverse. The visit will showcase the potential applications of using VR for procedural and simulated training in healthcare and other domains. We will also showcase the potential for developing a "metaversity", which demonstrates several metaverse scenarios in university campuses and how it can be used for virtual teaching and to create unique social learning experiences.

Webinar: Exploring the Potential of Immersive Technologies and the Metaverse for Teaching and Learning

This seminar explores the potential applications of immersive technologies for teaching and learning across multiple disciplines. It will illustrate some of the real teaching and learning applications at PolyU. We will also introduce the Metaverse developed at PolyU and elaborate on the current trial implementation for teaching and learning, as well as the feedback received. We would also like to invite interested teachers to participate in using these technologies in their upcoming teaching and learning practices.
