Hong Kong Tramways, affectionately known as "Ding Ding", has been an integral part of the city fabric since 1904. More than just a mode of transport, it stands as a cherished symbol of Hong Kong. Join Paul Tirvaudey, Managing Director of Hong Kong Tramways Limited, as he delves into the brand's transformation journey following its acquisition by RATP Dev. Short Bio
Paul Tirvaudey has been serving Hong Kong Tramways as Managing Director from 2022, which he is based in Hong Kong since then. He was trained as a nuclear engineer and holds a Master’s degree in project finance. He began his specialisation in transport as a Portfolio Manager at the French Government’s shareholding agency, within the Ministry of Economics. He significantly contributed to the preparation of strategic and financial decisions for state-owned railway company (SNCF) and seaports.
 
In 2017, Tirvaudey joined RATP Group as Chief of Staff to the Group CEO, Catherine Guillouard, and Secretary of the Management Board. Amongst others, he was at the core of RATP’s response to a major crisis in 2 years. He also worked on several structural projects for the progressive opening to competition of RATP’s bus services in Paris. For instance, he led an unprecedented reorganisation of corporate functions of RATP in Paris, aiming at fostering performance and efficiency.
