Our students mostly consist of Generation Z, who prefer to take an active role in online learning. Such preferences make the lesson design more challenging, particularly in service-learning courses, which tend to receive less attention from students due to heavy workloads in their major studies. This hands-on workshop will introduce Frame VR (the Metaverse platform) and demonstrate how it can enhance students’ motivation for autonomous learning in the flipped classroom setting. Carman Chu (APSS) will share her case of adopting this tool in her teaching, including benefits, challenges, and student perceptions of Frame VR. All are welcome, even those with no coding experience—As long as you have a computer connected to the internet, you can create your own virtual space in Frame VR without spending a single penny by joining us in this workshop.
