Publishing papers in peer-reviewed academic journals is one of the most important tasks for scholars. It not only serves to disseminate the latest research results to the community but also plays a major role in academic appraisal processes.

In this workshop, we will:
  • Share some experience on the review processes of Operations Research-related journals and conferences in the machine learning and algorithm design areas.
  • Discuss the use of AI in supporting the writing.
  • Examine various good practices on technical writing that will help enhance the chance of paper acceptance.
While the focus of the workshop will be on publishing in Operations Research-related journals and Computer Science conferences, the contents are generally applicable to publishing in mathematical sciences. Thus, the workshop should also appeal to colleagues who are interested in writing in the mathematical sciences.
